John de Lancie, born March 20, 1948 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA, is an actor. He plays Bert Stors in the ABC series Sports Night. He guest stars in the second season episode "April Is the Cruelest Month". Sports Night creator Aaron Sorkin also cast him in his subsequent series The West Wing.

He is known for his roles in Reign Over Me, The Hand That Rocks the Cradle, Fearless and Crank 2: High Voltage. He is also recognized for his portrayal of Q in the Star Trek franchise. He has appeared in Star Trek: The Next Generation, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, and Star Trek: Voyager.
