Background[]

Jeremy is from Boston. He attended Amherst and received a degree in applied mathematics. He dates Natalie, with multiple breakups, for a large portion of the series. He is Jewish; his family includes his sister Louise, who is deaf, and their parents, who divorce due to Jeremy's father revealing a long-running affair with another woman.

Season 1[]

ROLE.[1]

Jeremy's hiring process is comedic in the first episode. Throughout the season, he and Natalie develop an on-again, off-again romance.

Season 2[]

Jeremy's mental health deteriorates, presumably due in part to his parents' divorce. He begins to date a porn star despite being very uncomfortable with her work, and ultimately makes belittling and alienating comments to both her and Natalie, with whom he continues to have a strained relationship. In the final episode, it is suggested that he and Natalie may reconcile.
