Ric Swartzlander is an American motion picture writer and producer. He was a Consulting Producer for the ABC series Sports Night. He was part of the crew in the first season from the second episode "The Apology" to the fifth episode "Mary Pat Shelby". He has also worked on the situation comedies Grace Under Fire, Ellen, Daddio, 8 Simple Rules... for Dating My Teenage Daughter, Samantha Who?, Rodney and Gary Unmarried. He took over as the showrunner of Cougar Town for the series fourth season.
