Clark Gregg, born April 2, 1962 in Boston, Massachusetts, USA, is an actor. He plays the Stranger in the ABC series Sports Night. He guest stars in the second season two part finale "La Forza del Destino" and "Quo Vadimus". He is a founding member of the Atlantic Theatre company who performed the first reading of Sports Night creator Aaron Sorkin's play A Few Good Men. Sorkin cast Gregg again in his subsequent series The West Wing. He is also known for his frequent work with writer and director David Mamet having appeared in his films Spartan, State and Main, The Spanish Prisoner, and Things Change and in episodes of The Shield written by Mamet. He has appeared in the Marvel comic book movies Iron Man, Iron Man 2 and Thor and their TV series Ultimate Spider Man as Agent Phil Coulson. He had a starring role in the sitcom The New Adventures of Old Christine as the husband of the main character Christine Campbell, played by Julia Louis-Dreyfus. He is also known for his roles in the films (500) Days of Summer and The Usual Suspects.
